Hey friends!! After a few weeks away from blogging, I am back. It took me a little bit to find my stride with the new job and the initial wedding planning steps but I have found it and I am full of new posts and ideas that I can’t wait to share!
Here is what I have read and posted over the past few weeks…enjoy!!
What I Read:
I am not going to lie, I got super emotional after looking at this….
A few weeks back I made a trip up to Dallas to meet my dad and my MOH to search for dresses and we found one!!! It was so amazing and such a relief to mark that off the list. And of course we had to celebrate the remainder of the weekend!!
I had such a great time with some close friends of mine and I know my father was super excited for the day too!!
How was everyone’s week?? I am still in a tug a war battle with inspiration and motivation. Lately it has been a little harder to get the words and ideas in my head onto the computer. I know being sick did not help but it is time to break out of this and get sharing again!! Does this sound familiar to anyone?? How did you get out of it?? I usually leave the questions for the end of the post but it has been on my mind, and obviously left the blog a ghost town for a few weeks! Let me know!!
Now for the real reason I am here! When I received my Fitbit Charge HR for my birthday I was so excited to have a heart rate monitor for my workouts, to see how many steps I actually walk in a day and just to be apart of the fitness technology world! And let me tell you it has not been a disappointment.Continue reading “Fitness Find – The Challenge Box”
Subscription boxes seem to be all the rage these days and I am not going to lie, I love them. There is something about coming home to a box on my doorstep full of surprises. I think it reminds me of when I was in college and my mom would send me random care packages with items I didn’t realize I needed but loved as soon as I opened them!
While this wasn’t my first delivery, I received my first box back in November, I wanted to share it with you because the process and experiences have both been awesome!
My Sweat Style is a fitness focused subscription box that delivers a curated selection of premium activewear all within your specifications. When you first visit My Sweat Style, you will fill out a profile answering questions including what kind of workouts you participate in, what your hobbies are and of course your sizes.
Once you complete this profile, you can then say how important brand, fabric, fit and price are to you. If there is anything else you want to let your stylist know you can include that as well.
Enter your payment information and wait for the email that says your SweatStyle is on its way!
It is $20 when they ship you your box. When you receive your box there is an itemized receipt that states how much each item is and whatever you keep will be charged to the card you entered into your profile. You can take 5 days to try on the items and make your selection. Then return the ones you don’t want!
A little bonus, if you keep 3 or more items they will give you 20% off your total and apply the $20 Sweat fee you already paid.
According to their website, tops range from $35-$125, bottoms range from $55-$140, sports bras from $35-$100 and outerwear from $50-$250. To ensure you don’t get shipped items outside of your budget (like I did in November) there is a question on how important price is to you.
Lets talk about what I received this go around! (I have linked each item so you can see them on a model)
itemized receipt Vie Active Danielle Crop Tank with Cut Out Vie Active Danielle Crop Tank with Cut Out Prism Sport Python Legging Varley Palisade Croc Crop top Prism Sport Loose Black Tank Koral Mystic LeggingUnfortunately, just like the last time, I returned all five pieces. But unlike last time I loved most of the pieces at first glance, the fits were all just a little off for me. The Danielle top was super cute but a little sort for my taste, the built in bra was also a little big. The python pants felt awesome but I wasn’t crazy about the length. I also couldn’t justify keeping another black work out tank since I have about 10 already. The Varley croc crop was cute, but I didn’t feel like a must have. Finally, the Koral leggings were AMAZING!!! The feel of the fabric and the color were awesome. You can’t tell in my picture but they are navy and black and felt like a dream on. One problem, they were WAY too small! I have never worn this brand or tried it on so unfortunately I did not know they ran so small.
Even though I did not keep anything, I was exposed to two new brands that I had not tried before. I need to tweak my profile and keep my fingers crossed that more works out for me in May!
Have you tried My Sweat Style? What was your experience and what did you get??
Happy Tuesday! I am finally back from Austin and the house is looking ready for the market. I know my parents are ready to hand over the keys and get it sold!! Now that I am back I am ready to get started on my studies. Yes I said studies! I received my books for my Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification!
I also received my January PopSugar Must Have box (a little late) and I am totally excited for everything inside. Everything was just $39.95 and that includes shipping! If you use this code you will receive $5 off your first box!
Sydney and I traveled to Austin and she was a doll getting there! (The trip home was a different story :()
One of my birthday gifts was my new Fitbit Charge HR Wireless Activity Wristband
and I. Love. It. I love wearing it now during my workouts. It gives me extra motivation and helps push me to my limits. Although I always try hard in class, this new device helps me get the MOST out of my workouts!
See what I did there?!? Happy Hump day! For today’s #workoutwednesday and #nationalfitnessday I wanted to quickly share this push-up Continue reading “Push-up for what?”
Hey there! Happy Friday!! The last week of January came and went and with it went our first week of boot camp! Both classes went off without a hitch and my participants KILLED it!!!
